5 Paw-some Ways to Include Your Fur Baby

If you are anything like me, you would agree that your pup is more than just a "pet"... they are part of the family! It only makes sense to have them take part and be included in your wedding day! Here is some inspo and ideas of how to include your fur baby on your special day!

1) Take Photos Together

Have a friend or family member bring your pup for a quick visit during your bridal portraits! Even just 10 minutes is more than enough time to get some beautiful photos captured with your dog on your wedding day! Also consider having them wear a floral collar for the portraits to add some extra prettiness!

2) Ring Bearer

Have your pup walk your rings down the aisle! They will be the highlight of your ceremony procession... besides the bride, of course!! There are countless cute props you can find such as ring pillows, tuxedos, "Dog of Honour" or "I loved her first" or "My Humans are Getting Married" wooden signs, and more canine ring bearer accessories online! Make sure your doggo has someone walking them down the aisle just in case they get distracted as they walk down saying hello to all the guests!

3) Guest Greeter

Have your dog sit by the guest sign-in book as your guests come in! They can shake a paw or take a cute Polaroid photo with each guest that arrives!

4) Use Your Dog as Inspo for Wedding Details

If your dog isn't allowed at the venue, or you realize that the day may be too much for them, there's still plenty of ways to incorporate your dog in your wedding day! Here are just a few ideas:

  • Name your signature cocktails after your dogs or other pets
  • Custom wedding cake topper (Etsy has tons of options!)
  • Custom suit cufflinks (Etsy once again!)
  • Include your pets portrait on your wedding stationary (invites, menu cars, welcome sign, etc.)

5) Make a Charity Donation to an Animal Shelter

A nice way to honour your dog or other pets at your wedding is to request donations to a local animal shelter as a wedding gift option!
